Manifest Your Dreams

In this blog post, we’ll dive into how to use imagination and visualization to manifest your dreams. No, we’re not talking about nightmares (shudder), but reaching your lifelong goals or making improvements to your lifestyle. These goals could be improved health, financial security, new career - you dream it, now let’s make it happen through imagination and visualization! By following the easy steps identified here, you’ll be well on your way to make your dreams reality.

Turning Daydreams into Reality

Your brain’s imagination is a powerful tool. Whatever you can dream up, you can make a reality. Every day, sometimes multiple times per day, you daydream. This is your brain’s imagination working to show you possible outcomes. Often (and I’m super guilty of this!), these daydreams are brought on by worry - running late to pick up a child, paying bills on time, or even bigger scenarios like job interviews, meetings with your child’s teacher, handling a difficult client, etc. These worrisome daydreams are not productive and can send you into negative mental loops creating unhappiness.

You can reprogram your daydreams into a positive, happy reality by productively utilizing your imagination to visualize positive outcomes. The most successful people use visualization to materialize their success. From elite athletes to celebrities (https://blog.mindvalley.com/the-power-of-visualization/), they’re using the power of their imagination to make their vision a reality. The Olympic cyclist not only trains his body for competition, but the mind as well by regularly envisioning their training and discipline coming together as they are the first to cross the finish line. Albert Einstein was a visualizer and said “Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.”

3 Easy Techniques to Make Your Dream Reality

These are techniques that I’m sure you’ve heard of or may already be practicing; either way, here’s how you can better utilize these practices to manifest your dreams into reality.

1.     Meditation and Prayer

A simple meditation to bring focus and clarity is the Sitting Meditation. Take a moment to relax and find a sitting position that is comfortable. Once set, gently close your eyes and bring awareness to your breath, taking a few deep breaths in and breathing out slowly. As thoughts float in, acknowledge them and then release.

Once you feel centered in your meditation, you may begin praying to your chosen God. Invite that Power Source to show direction and clarity to achieve the reality He wishes for you. Taking this time to commune with God will give you the confidence to take the necessary steps toward realizing the wonderful life meant for you.

2.     Journaling

In this step, you will write down in detail the vision made available to you through meditation and prayer. Don’t skip this step as it will further solidify your vision.

In a quiet place, take pen and paper to write out the details of your vision. Imagine the reality you wish to achieve. See it through your eyes as if you are already there and involve all of your senses.

·      What does it feel like? Giving the reality a strong emotion, truly pulls you there as you wish to recreate those powerful sensations of success.

·      What does it look like? Add in bright colors as visual cues and eliminate any blank spaces.

·      What does it smell like? The smell of cinnamon and leather always brings me back to my childhood home. Smell is a powerful tool to lock in a vision.

·      What does it taste like? Perhaps your wife is slicing a celebratory cake and as that sweetness settles on your tongue, so does the reality of your success sink in.

·      What does it sound like? The loud cheering and people yelling your name as you cross the marathon finish line echoes in your ears.

3.     Developing a Personal Development Plan

Now that you’ve done the hard work of visualization, it’s time now to put that vision into action. The best way to do that is to create a Personal Development Plan (PDP). A PDP is a powerful tool that you can use to identify the steps needed to achieve your goal and set a timeline to have this goal made a reality.

Coach B. Von has created an excellent Personal Development Plan that you can download to get started on planning your magnificent and abundant future today!
